About Sports Injury Clinic

Sports Injury Clinic (SIC) was founded in 2009 by Joanne Coleman – former Silver Fern and Commonwealth Games Physiotherapist. Jo saw the need to provide high quality acute medical care to players, umpires, coaches and spectators of netball at the Netball North Harbour Courts in Auckland.

Netball has changed over the last 10 years and so have the nature of injuries during this time. This meant patients needed a more varied service than simple first aid which had been sufficient in the past.  Jo’s foresight has led to the development of an industry leading Sports Injury Clinic which is respected nationwide for the expertise and care given to patients. Whanau Ora Community Clinic is excited to continue on this growth, building on the amazing establishment and the care provided.

In addition, all staff are specifically trained to the highest standards, so you know you’ll receive the best possible care when you need it most. SIC has rapidly become a centre of excellence and all staff are actively involved in further education and knowledge, so they are always at the cutting edge of new treatment techniques.  And because of this commitment we are able provide the best education to patients about their injuries, and education seminars for players, coaches and managers.  We are constantly finding ways of bringing research, and new information from data to provide better care for all our patients. Another way our patients benefit from the SIC difference!

Our Vision:  To provide expert sports injury prevention and management for the Netball North Harbour community, and help restore function and peak performance for all our patients.
